After eventually located our bags on the wrong carousel we walked through the doors at 10.15pm and scanned the sea of signs looking for ours - when we had almost given up at the end of the line we spotted "lisa Edward" and found our driver. I would have taken a shot of all the drivers with their signs but didn't want to be hauled over by security having successfully navigated customs.
How things change in 25 years! We followed our driver through the 5 story car park and then hit the streets of Bali. Whilst so much development has taken place the craziness of the traffic still remains though with more vehicles sharing the roads. He didn't inspire confidence when he told us he had started at 3.00am this morning. It still amazes how even with one hand on his phone and the other on the horn the driver safely navigated his way through the congested streets of Bali without cleaning up a single motorbike rider or other vehicle.
